Returns the following day to find the penny missing. \n\nWhere could it have gone? \n\nIt has not simply fallen off. \n\nThe penny must be retrieved for any chance of good luck. \n\nWill return tomorrow with another penny.\n[[Day 3]].
Stands up to stretch, squinting at the morning sun.\n\nTurns to the pedestal and finds a crooked twig. But there are no trees near.\n\n"Must've been that bird...but why would a bird leave a twig..."\n\nA thought crosses the mind. \n\nThe bird calls from before.\n\nThe bird! The bird must be taking the pennies!\n\nA new thought crosses the mind.\n[[Day 7]]\n\n\n\n
Hears a slight scratching sound. \n\nLooks up from below the pedestal and sees a bird hobbling back and forth on the edge of the pedestal, looking down, curiously.\n\nThe bird gives a familiar call, looking directly at the penny-giver as if demanding another offering, then flys away.\n[[Day 6]]\n
Returns the following day to find the penny missing, again.\n\n"Who is taking my penny?! I need it for good luck! I need it!!!"\n\nSits down near the pedestal, head in hands.\n\nPresses fingers hard against skull, breathing loudly through mouth. \n\nWhy does this always happen?\n\nA bird calls from somewhere.\n\nExhausted.\n[[Return to Village]]\n[[Sleep Here|Day 5]] \n
